2-Day trip from Marrakech to M’hamid

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora – Telouet – Mhamid

On this day we set off at 7 am for the south of Morocco; from Marrakech to M’hamid El’ghizlan. Trekking through Tizi’n Tichka (over 2260m), approaching the desert. Hike through the Atlas with a stop at Telouet, a mountain village with the remains of the kasbah of the Pasha of Marrakech. The next stop is Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, an architectural gem of great significance and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue to Ouarzazate, the ancient caravan city. On this day we will visit the famous city and film studios where great films such as “Gladiator” and “Babel” and “Jesus of Nazareth” were shot. We will also stop at the Taourirt kasbah in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: M’Hamid – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

After sunrise and breakfast at the foot of Erg Lihoudi dune, visit the village of Tamgrout, famous for its Koranic school, the old library, and the pottery quarter. You will then cross the Draa Valley with its beautiful date palms and henna fields. After crossing the Anti-Atlas, you will arrive at Ait Benhaddou where you will have lunch and visit the famous Ksar (fortified village) of Ait Benhaddou. Finally, you will cross the Unila Valley, also known as the Salt Valley. Finally, you will cross the High Atlas and return to Marrakech. End of your tour from Marrakech to M’hamid.
