Located south of Marrakech, the road takes you there for 65km through the Haouz Plain until you reach Agmat, an abandoned village. Only the original structure remains from the mausoleum of the Andalusian prince and poet Motamid Ben Abbad which was captured during the conquest of Seville in 109. Monuments and tourist sites: Setti-Fatma: the last village to be reached by paved road is the starting point for numerous hikes into the surrounding mountains. The most popular and easy hike is to climb along the mountain stream and discover the 7 waterfalls. Tnin de l’Ourika: a small duar without much architectural interest, where a traditional market is held every Monday. Aromatic Garden: a mountain garden that grows predominantly species specific to the region. After returning to the main road we head south along the road leading to the duar (village) of Ourika. On Mondays, the bustling bazaar comes alive. The Ourika River flows at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, making the valley green with orchards and terraced crops.
