Program for the two days tour from Marrakech to Zagora
Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Agdez – Zagora
Start at 7:00 am from Marrakech to Ouarzazate, 200 km through the Atlas Mountains (beautiful scenery and authentic Berber villages). The first major stop is a visit to Ouarzazate and the famous Kasbah of Taourirt; lunch (not included) will be served next to the Kasbah. After lunch, we will drive through Ouarzazate (the film capital of Africa) and on to Agdz and Zagora. We will visit the Draa Valley and its palm grove. For an hour and a half, we ride on camels through the center of the dunes, stopping for photos. We reach the camp half an hour before sunset and drink mint tea with the camp nomads. We then head to the dunes to admire the sunset. Afterward, we take a desert walk where you’ll have the chance to see the most incredible sky you’ve ever seen in your life. We return to camp for dinner, after which the nomads play music for us around the campfire. You will watch panoramic natural views along your trip from Marrakech to Zagora.
Day 2: Zagora – Draa Valley – Ait Ben HadDou – Marrakech
On the second day of our trip from Marrakech to Zagora, we get up before dawn to see the first light of day (the magical predawn light). After that we have breakfast. Later we reach our vehicles by camel for the return journey to Marrakech. We visit Ait Ben Haddou, a 16th-century kasbah. After the visit, we have lunch (not included); then we continue our journey. Arrived in Marrakech around 18:30.
