DAY 1: TANGIER – TETOUAN – CHAFCHOUEN

We will meet you in the morning at the port (ferry) or at the airport and start our desert tour from Tangier by traveling to Chefchaouen. We make our first stop in Tetuan, a Spanish town, arrive in Chefchaouen, leave our luggage at the hotel and drive to the town of Chauen. We will walk through the streets and between the old blue and white houses, admire the panorama and stay overnight in the hotel with breakfast.

DAY 2 : CHEFCHAOUEN – FEZ

Breakfast in riad and continue our desert tour from Tangier to Fez, the first of the imperial cities, whose origins date back to the 8th century. It is also one of the first sacred cities for Muslims in Morocco and boasts one of the oldest universities in the world. We arrive in Fez and transfer to our riad.

DAY 3: FEZ – SIGHTSEEING

Free day on this program of the desert tour from Tangier to visit Fez: another of the 4 royal cities. Morocco is considered the religious and cultural center of the country. Known for its Arabic language and Muslim religion, the university is a stopping point for many Moroccan students. You’ll have time to stroll around the city and explore the different quarters: the New Quarter or Fes El Jedid, home to the Mellach (Jewish Quarter), the French Quarter of the New City in the northwest, and of course, Fes El Bali, the old quarter inside the city walls. Walking around the streets one feels transported to a bygone world, where potters, blacksmiths, craftsmen, and donkeys with goods of various origins coexist with tourists wandering the maze of streets. The tanner’s market is also famous, where you can take part in the processing of medieval roots that are used to give leather its vibrant colors.

DAY 4: FEZ – IFRANE – AZROU – ERRACHIDIA – MERZOUGA

On the fourth day of your desert tour from Tangier and after breakfast, we leave Fez and head towards the Middle Atlas to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next village is Azrou “rock”, a Berber village known for its crafts, carpets, and woodcarvings before we arrive in Midelt. We follow the road through Tizi Talgemt or Camel Pass at an altitude of 1,907 meters. The terrain is spectacular, the mountains are completely bare and covered in a purple mantle. Arrive in Errachidia and start crossing the Tafilalet massif to the palm grove of Erfoud. On the road to the Merzouga Desert Arrival in the desert and the start of an incredible adventure For an hour, we ride in a camel caravan that takes us to camp. We stop in the middle of the road to admire the sunset over the dunes and stretch our legs a bit before continuing on to the camp, where we have a welcome tea before dinner and the opportunity to climb a large dune or smaller dunes near the camp to see the shooting stars and make wishes. Overnight in Haimas in the heart of the desert (camp) with dinner and a typical Berber breakfast.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY

We wake up earlier to welcome the sunrise. We return by camel or 4×4 to the place where we find our minibus to continue our journey to Rissani. We visit the market, which is the most important market in the south, where all the desert nomads do their shopping, then we drive to Erfoud where we visit a fossil marble factory and continue our desert tour from Tangier to the palm groves of Tourug and Tinjdad. We arrive at one of the sights of the south: the Todra Gorge. The Todra River has formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous size and beauty, a climber’s paradise, and a unique place. Lunch on-site and a half-hour walk to admire the gorge at your leisure. In the afternoon we will continue to the Dades valley via Boumalen Dades and reach Dades valley where we will stay in a hotel with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 6 : DADES VALLEY – ROSE VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH

After breakfast at the hotel on the sixth day of our desert tour from Tangier, start the drive to Ouarzazate via Dades Bumalne, the Valley of the Roses, and Skoura. On the way, you will enjoy the views of the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of the Roses, and the Skoura Oasis. From here, we will proceed to the village of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will have lunch and then tour the exotic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Later, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260m), you will have the opportunity to take pictures and enjoy the scenery of the High Atlas Mountains during a visit to the ARGAN oil cooperative where we will learn about the production process and the countless benefits of oil for the human body. In the afternoon we arrive in Marrakech and transfer to the riad, where we spend the night with breakfast.

DAY 7 : VISIT MARRAKECH AND TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

After breakfast, visit Marrakech. In the morning visit the Koutoubia and the Bahia Palace. Visit the souks, the medina, and the Jemaa el Fna Square. To enjoy the ride and stroll through the streets of the medina and souks, join a guided tour with a local guide. and depending on your flight schedule, transfer to the airport or hotel and end our services and the end of your desert tour from Tangier.
